UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT Alumni Association popularly known as “I AM UEM”, is a registered body under the societies act and a non-profitable organization.
As a UEM graduate, you are automatically a member!
The “I AM UEM” serves as a platform for alumni and enhances the alumni experience by:
  • Sharing ideas that may serve to be fruitful for the further development of current students.
  • Facilitating engagement among fellow graduates, current students, and the university by providing ongoing opportunities for involvement.
  • Promoting and sharing alumni achievements, concerns, and aspirations.
  • Building a culture of philanthropy to support current and future generations of UEM students and alumni.
ABOUT

The IEM-UEM group was established by the Edu-entrepreneur Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, in the year 1989 setting sublime standards in addressing the technical and managerial resource shortage in the new era of dynamic globalisation. Since its inception, the IEM-UEM group has been ably spearheading the planning, formulation, and dissemination of technical education across India stretching beyond the limits of the globe.

The University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (UEMK) established in the year 2015 aims to provide quality education in the fields of engineering, technology, management, law and interdisciplinary fields recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE. Fostering the academic goal for achieving Outcome Based Education and Research Intensive Teaching, the university pledges to become the Centre of Eminence in the forth- coming years. Accolades and appreciations have always remained an integral part of the University’s name and fame. Accomplishments like the Times Business Award, The Progress Global Award, National Employability Award, Top Engineering College Award have woven unaccountable like wreaths of academic recognition both in the national and in the global world. The university holds a rich employability record in terms of job placements procured through campus recruitment drives. The dynamic support from the Corporate Relations Cell provide students with job opportunities and internship programs with reputed companies both at the national and international platform. Thus, UEMK fostering an educational environment promotes diverse experiential learning through relevant and innovative scholarly activities, reinforcing collaborative links with the industry and the community to promote Inclusion, Innovation and Integrity.

IEM-UEM group greatly promotes entrepreneurship among its students with the vision of gifting some of the most innovative and creative minds to an extensively progressing India. Our Alumni members have several successful ventures that the university is very proud of and it also points to the great start that we were aiming towards. The IEM UEM Group is committed to shaping minds that are free-spirited, daring, disciplined, and extremely courageous. Students that learn in this haven of knowledge are encouraged to learn freely, embrace the best of practices and discover their true potential.

UEMK Alumni Meet

The University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata conducted an Alumni Reunion on 21 January, 2023 wherein the University witnessed a footfall of approximately 1000 Alumni students. It was an overwhelming sight to see the students mature in a blink of an eye.The existing students of the Institute organised the event which was a great success. The event began with Chancellor/VC/Pro VC Sir’s words of wisdom followed by singing, dancing, and band performances.The event came to an end with a cake cutting ceremony followed by food stalls/beverage counter. The event acted as a gateway for the students to connect with the different batchmates from their university and also to build a stronger network based on the alma mater they share for career development and academic endeavours.

The University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata in collaboration with CNG and in association with T2 hosted Cyclothon- the cycle marathon on the 6th of March, 2022, to celebrate “The spirit of Womanhood”, commemorating the International Women’s Day. The cycling marathon was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Apsara Guhathakurta, winner of the Mrs. Universe title in 2019. The ride to “Break the Bias” started from the University Gate en route to Biswa Bangla Gate and Novotel crossing, with 300 exuberant cyclists participating in the event, in two categories of 10 Km and 20 Km.

Jigisha

Pragya conducted two rounds of quizzes with 21 enthusiastic participants. The first round consisted of 20 questions. Furthermore, three sections of the Final Round took place, each with a different format. In the end, the three winners with the highest scores won the Quiz.

Ecstasia

Ecstasia is the cultural fest of UEM, Kolkata that is celebrated with great pomp and show every year. Performers from various different universities and colleges participate in the fest.

Ureckon is UEM Kolkata’s Techno-Management fest. Techno-Management Ureckon has events from both technical and management domains. Technical domains include Robotics, Coding, Gaming, Technical Exhibitions etc. Management events include, Treasure hunts, events where you can show your pitching skills, advertising skills, etc. Colleges, schools and institutions from all over the city participate and make this a glorious fest.
